Issue/Introduction

When an HSM.HMIGTAPE tape is copied using TAPEREPL OVOL(vvvvvv) command, the DSN created will be HSM.COPY.HMIGTAPE
Once this new tapes are read in as input if the EDMID is not the same as the original DSN then it will cause:

Resolution

Verify the new DSN=HSM.COPY.HMIGTAPE created by the TAPEREPL OVOL(vvvvvv) command has the same EDMID as the HSM.HMIGTAPE in the TMOEDMxx member to prevent the IEFTMS50 1XX-08 abend when reading the tape in as input.

Additional Information

Note:

You should NOT assign a different EDMID to the COPY versus the primary. Change the EDM options so that your EDMID on the tape for example, "HSM3", matches what is in your TMOEDM00 member which would be HSM1 for example.
