Issue/Introduction

Running batch IDMSDDDL fails with error:

DC601997  CA-ENDEVOR/DB SPECIAL ERROR STATUS CODE 0895              
In the IDMS log in OLP the following error:

NDVRFLIO: E020 REQUESTED SECURITY-CLASS RECORD NOT FOUND   
NDVRCVPR: E002 CA E/DB BATCH PROCESSING ERROR - DBPROC FUNCTION:BIND REL:19.0 TAPE:CAGJJ0
NDVRCVPR: E003 ERROR PROGRAM:IDMSDDDL DBNAME:dictname CA userid       

 

Cause

The problem is with the definition of the userid in Endevor/DB security. It can't find the SECURITY-CLASS  defined for the user.

Resolution

The Endevor/DB online facility can be used to modify Endevor/DB security

  • Enter task code NDVR or NDVRMIS, the Main Function menu is displayed:
    CA-E/DB nn.n volser            MAIN FUNCTION MENU             mm/dd/yy  NDVRU000
    USER ===> EDBADMIN            DICTNAME ===> SRCNDVR           MODE ===> UPDATE

    OPTION ===>

                 3  - LOCK FUNCTIONS
                 4  - ENTITY AND ENTITY CHANGE HISTORY
                 5  - CCID AND CCID CHANGE HISTORY
                 6  - STATUS AND STATUS ASSOCIATIONS
                 7  - USER AND USER CHANGE HISTORY
                 8  - DICTIONARY AND DICTIONARY HISTORY
                 9  - MANAGEMENT GROUPS AND CCIDS
                10  - ENDEVOR/DB CONTROL FUNCTIONS
                11  - ENDEVOR/DB SIGNON FUNCTION
              12  - RETURN TO IDMS/DC
  • Enter option 7 - USER AND USER CHANGE HISTORY, and press ENTER. The user functions screen (NDVRU700) is displayed:

  • Enter option 3 - MODIFY USER DESCRIPTORS.

  • Enter the USER or leave blank for a list of all users defined in the CCDB and press ENTER.

  • From the list select the userid and press ENTER, the User Detail screen (NDVRM710) is displayed.

  • Change the security class to a valid one and press ENTER.

To check the security classes defined, from the Main Function menu:

  • Select option 10  - ENDEVOR/DB CONTROL FUNCTIONS.

  • From screen NDVRUA00 select option 3  - BROWSE SECURITY DESCRIPTORS
