Users are not prompted for authentication after closing their browser

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to SGOS 6.7.4.7 or later, users are no longer being prompted for authentication for the form-cookie-redirect authentication method after closing the browser and starting a new browser session.

Environment

SGOS 6.7.4.7 or later 6.7.4 release

SGOS 6.7.5.x release

Proxy is configured to use form-cookie-redirect method.

Cause

This is a bug in SGOS 6.7.4.7 and later SGOS 6.7.4 releases as well as 6.7.5.x releases.

Resolution

This issue is addressed in SGOS 7.2 and later. Before migrating to 7.2, carefully review the changes and features in SGOS 7.2 to ensure compatibility in your environment.
