#XCOMU0298E Unable to allocate remote transaction program: Txpi 211: Socket connect error return value = 78
The Error message is usually generated by a select timeout and the # in front of the message means the transfer is restartable.
It is hard to determine the exact problem without logs and/or traces and can be caused by low timeout values and/or a slow network and/or a timeout on a DSN resolver request
Release : 11.6
Component : CA XCOM Data Transport for AIX, Windows, LINUX
Be sure that your timeout values are set high enough for your FILE, JOB, or REPORT transfer to complete:
TXPI_TERM_TIMEOUT - Maximum wait time, in seconds, for partner to terminate TCP/IP communications. If a transfer terminates normally, both sides of the conversation coordinate the termination, and there should be no need to wait.
This timeout occurs only during an error in the termination of the connection. Used for TCP/IP transfers only.
TXPI_RECEIVE_TIMEOUT - Maximum wait time, in seconds, that this CA XCOM Data Transport waits to receive from the partner system.
If a value of 0 is specified, it waits indefinitely. Use for TCP/IP transfers only
