Issue/Introduction

Do we have similar QOS value like task manager( "Processor > Processor time, _Total" ) in cdm ?

Cause

I checked in windows 2016 environment where the task manager, performance monitor and cdm QOS values are similar.

I gone across the microsoft documents for calculating the CPU usage, we should use counters like %processor Information, % privileged time, %user Time for getting the CPU_USAGE.Please refer the below link.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/performance-monitor/monitor-cpu-usage?view=sql-server-ver15

and also some times task manager may include system idle time for calculating cpu usage, please refer to the below link.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/873289/task-manager-may-not-calculate-cpu-usage-correctly-on-windows-2000-win

For more reference can just refer to this link also, for task manager shows high value but performance monitor shows less value.

Environment

Release : 8.51

Component : UIM - CDM WITH IOSTAT

Resolution

We do not have the similar QOS value like task manager( "Processor > Processor time, _Total" ) in cdm but similar QOS value we can have in ntperf probe. Please refer to the below article link.
