Issue/Introduction

How do you validate that SMF 80 audit entries are being written to the SMF dataset? LOG(SMF) in the Top Secret control options or FACILITY control options activates logging Top Secret audit records to the SMF dataset.

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

Run a TSSUTIL report against the SMF dataset. If a Top Secret report is generated, the TSS Audit SMF data is being written to the SMF dataset.
