Issue/Introduction

If you are using program authorization in you security package and you have not authorized CTSOPSI you may see messages such as this one from RMM.

16.10.46 JOB04812 ICH420I PROGRAM CTSOPSI FROM LIBRARY CA1.CTAPLINK CAUSED
THE ENVIRONMENT TO BECOME UNCONTROLLED.
     261 INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY
     261 FROM XXXX.XXXXXX*.** (G)
     261 ACCESS INTENT(UPDATE ) ACCESS ALLOWED(READ)

This could happen if you are trying to access a tape during the CA 1 30 minute check where we give a heartbeat to CA OPS/MVS. CTSOPSI is a new module in Release 12.6 that interfaces with CA OPS/MVS

Resolution

To resolve the problem add CTSOPSI to the authorize program list in your security package. You might consider authorizing all programs in the CTAPLINK library.
