Issue/Introduction

After the Jaspersoft upgrade, you get an error:

"Failed to update properties on the Jaspersoft server. Exception getting ClarityJasperAdmin : Unauthorized access to http://testserver:8080/reportservice with username ppmjasperadmin".

How do you recreate / regenerate the Jaspersoft keystore?

Environment

Release : All Supported Clarity releases

Component : CLARITY JASPERSOFT

Resolution

  1. Go to the CLARITY_INSTALL/bin folder and enter the command:
    admin jaspersoft keystore
  2. This will generate the following files in the CLARITY_INSTALL/config folder:
    • <orgname>.jks (key store file)
    • <orgname>.properties (information about the key)
  3. Copy the two generated files to the Tomcat for Jaspersoft folder: TOMCAT_JASPERSOFT/webapps/reportservice/WEB-INF/config
  4. Copy to all other servers in <Clarity>/META-INF/reporting/store
  5. Restart Jaspersoft
  6. Try to run Create Jaspersoft users job from Clarity.
