Encapsulated Assertion with public key cannot be deleted at this time

Issue/Introduction

I created an Encapsulated Assertion Policy and trying to delete it but I am getting Delete Policy Alert and I cannot delete the Policy. Please see attachment for the message.

 

 

Environment

All supported versions of the API Gateway

Cause

each encapsulated assertion has a Policy Fragment underneath, need to select all fragments

Resolution

When deleting from Policy Manager services section it fails because each encapsulated assertion has a Policy Fragment underneath .

In order to delete it both have to go selected, which is what happens in the dialog for Manage Encapsulated Assertions.

Delete the encapsulated Assertion from Policy Manager Tasks -> Extensions and add-ons -> Manage Encapsulated Assertions.
