How to automate an Autosys calender schedule
Please help how to create/automate a Quarterly calendar which will run from 29th of previous month to 20th of next month and months should be August, November, February, May.
29th January to 20th February.
29th April to 20th May.
29th July to 20th August.
29th October to 20th November.
Environment
Release : 12.0
Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)
Resolution
Assuming that you need to create a calendar for all days in the following periods:
29th January to 20th February.
29th April to 20th May.
29th July to 20th August.
29th October to 20th November
You can first create a cycle to include the above four periods as shown as an example as follows:
Enter Cycle Name: Cycle_32158943
Description :
Start Date : 01/29/1972 00:00:00
End Date : 02/20/1972 00:00:00
Start Date : 04/29/1972 00:00:00
End Date : 05/20/1972 00:00:00
Start Date : 07/29/1972 00:00:00
End Date : 08/20/1972 00:00:00
Start Date : 10/29/1972 00:00:00
End Date : 11/20/1972 00:00:00
You can then use this cycle to create an extended calendar that includes all days in those periods:
Enter Calendar Name: ExtCal_32158943
Name : ExtCal_32158943
Description :
Workdays : all
Holiday Calendar :
Cycle Name : Cycle_32158943
Holiday Action :
Non Workday Action : N
Date Adjustment : 0
Date Conditions : CYCLE
This can be done using autocal_asc or QuickEdit in WCC.
