Issue/Introduction

Data load job to SUBSYTEM_DETAIL fails with the below error message

                      INVALID FOR 'DMRS.SUBSYSTEM_DETAIL',
                      ERROR CODE '04 - INPUT PACKED DECIMAL IS IN ERROR'

Resolution

The first recommendation is to modify the IQL that generates the load file by creating a declared field that would test if the value is reasonable and supply zero if not.

The second recommendation was to open a PMR with IBM to have them analyze the raw SMF file due to the 'strange' values in the QIST section from the subsystem D852 in field QISTIMAC-QISTIMSH.
