Environment

OPS/MVS

Cause

In the documented cases, these causes for this message were identified:

  • Timing Issue
  • Absence of required product maintenance
  • Need to reload OPJ2DF from OPSVIEW 4.1.5 panel

Resolution

Review each of the solutions below and implement the one that best fits your scenario. If none of these solutions work, proceed with opening a support ticket and reference this document as part of the troubleshooting process.

Timing Issue

An attempt to access the JES2 offset table was made prior to JES2 Initialization completing successfully. Once JES2 initialization completes, the message should cease.

Absence of Required Product Maintenance

If the messages persist after JES2 initialization, it's advised to review the list of related JES2-related maintenance to ensure it's been applied to the environment receiving the errors. To review the list of published maintenance, access the OPS/MVS Product Page, click "Solutions", then search for "JES2" in the box noted with "Search with solution name, component, etc."

Need to Reload OPJ2DF via OPSVIEW 4.1.5 Panel

The Module Display shows vital information about OPS/MVS modules. This is particularly important for getting information on the release and service pack of the product currently running.

To reload the module, place an "R" on the line next to OPJ2DF and press "Enter".
