Issue/Introduction

How can you stop a data collector from collecting SNMP data so you can integrate it solely with another component like VNA or CAMM?

Environment

Release : 20.2

Component : IM Reporting / Admin / Configuration

Resolution

You have two options:

1. Have the Data Collector use its own IP Domain and do not use that IP Domain for SNMP discovery

2. Utilizing a firewall, stop the Data Collector from being able to send SNMP traffic by either blocking the snmp protocol or outgoing ports 161, 162, or any other ports you utilize in your network environment
