We are seeing the following errors in the event_demon logs of both our Production and Release environments:
getaddrinfo failed: System error
Release : 11.3.6
Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)
The “getaddrinfo failed: System error” in the “event_demon” logs are returned by the “Operating System” to the Scheduler on a System Call.
You will notice that the “getaddrinfo failed: System error” messages are Not formatted and do Not have a CAUAJM catalog associated messages.
The “getaddrinfo failed: System error” messages are reported when the Scheduler is configured to “execute some UNIX command” on “Shutdown” or as part of “SNMP traps” or as part of a “machine availability calculation” and the “UNIX command” that the scheduler executes fails for some reason and generates the “getaddrinfo” message.
The “getaddrinfo failed: System error” are returned to the Scheduler on an External System Call. They are Not controlled by AutoSys.
