An issue has been seen in some customer environments where after upgrading the CA Identity Manager (Symantec IGA) vApp from 14.1 to 14.3 CP2 and trying to install the JCS connector server it fails to install.
The logs show the following error messages:
(Aug 3, 2020 12:42:38 PM), Install, com.ca.etrust.install.admin.connectorserver.SOAConfigureJCS, msg1, Starting JCS Service...
(Aug 3, 2020 12:45:48 PM), Install, java.lang.String, msg1, WARNING: Timeout occured attempting to contact server...
Release : 14.1 -> 14.3 CP2
Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)
As a workaround, revert the CA Identity Suite Virtual Appliance (vApp) to 14.3 GA base install and then download the connector server. Register the connector server on the vApp dashboard and then redeploy CP2. Alternatively, the following knowledge article details how to set the system variable for the JCS timeout. This should enable the install to complete as expected.
