How to reduce the size of the VMLIB activity log,

Cause

I noticed our VMLIB activity log is quite large.  Is there a method to reduce the size?  It has log records in there from 2008. 

Resolution

Use the CLEARLOG command which will clear the activity log.  First, make sure you have a backup of VMLIB so you have the activity log information to date.  You should at least backup the VMLIB ACTYLOG file on VMLIB's 194 minidisk before clearing it out.
