Copy Sysview for Db2 history files from release r19.0 to r20.0

Issue/Introduction

We have created a new **.EXCPDEF Exception file and **.HSTACCTG, **.HSTSTATS History files for
Sysview Performance Management Option for Db2 for z/OS (IDB2) release r20. 

After starting the IDB2 r20 data collector started task and attempted to view the Thread History in IDB2, could see the threads which were active after
we start the IDB2 data collector in release r20. Is there any possibility to display the threads which were active before the IDB2 data collector
release r20 was started?

Resolution

In IDB2 release r20 you can work with same **.EXCPDEF Exceptions file as in IDB2 release r19.
 

IDB2 release r19 History files are compatible with IDB2 release r20 where the following steps to merge data sets with IDCAMS utility should work.  
  
For the History files they can be merged in the following way. 
 
- Create new History files for Release 20.0: R200.NEW.HSTACCTG, R200.NEW..HSTSTATS 
- Copy with IDCAMS REPRO the Release 19.0 History files R190.HSTACCTG, R190.HSTSTATS to the new History files R200.NEW.HSTACCTG, R200.NEW.HSTSTATS 
. Copy with IDCAMS REPRO the current Release 20.0 History files **.HSTACCTG, **.HSTSTATS to the new History files R200.NEW.HSTACCTG, R200.NEW.HSTSTATS 
  
On this way there will be all the Release 19.0 and Release 20.0 IFCID records merged in one set of Release 20.0 History files: R200.NEW.HSTACCTG, R200.NEW.HSTSTATS 
  
Start the IDB2 r20 data collector with the new R200.NEW.HSTACCTG, R200.NEW.HSTSTATS History files.
