Issue/Introduction

OneClick client console responsiveness is slow. For example, tables not updating and showing data in a timely manner or taking minutes to do so


What can we do to speed things up? Are there settings we can fine tune or improve? Or any setting in java that will help?

Cause

Looking through the OneClick log, there maybe thousands of instances of the following problems:

Apr 21, 2020 15:00:35.219 (http-nio-80-exec-19) (POLL) - <USER>@<IP_ADDRESS>: WARNING: Client lost config response: -1 - reprocessing configuration update...

This is seen on OneClick servers integrated with CAPC and is due to performance issues.

Environment

Spectrum 10.4.x

Resolution

So other things you can look at is increasing the client memory to 1.5 GB from the current 1GB under:

Spectrum WEB GUI -> Administration -> OneClick Client Configuration


We also recommend increasing the

ModelRepository.ThrottledModelReadCount

to 7,500 from the current 5000 in the file:

$SPECROOT/tomcat/webapps/spectrum/WEB-INF/web.xml
