Additional Information

Because the UI of SPE uses Java, additional steps may be required to permit Internet Explorer to open the UI, as noted here:
https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/165237/how-to-enable-the-console-with-protectio.html

Without the UI, configuration and administration tasks are accomplished via xmlmodifier or through registering SPE with the CWP portal. For more on these topics, see:
https://help.symantec.com/home/spe_8_0?locale=EN_US

Also, note that while BROADCOM has not officially certified SPE for NAS 8.0.0.44 for use on Windows 2019, it is observed to install on Windows 2019 with no known issues.

For a build certified on Windows 2019, please see 8.0.1 or 8.2.0 or later.
