Issue/Introduction

We have worked on this enhancement and added the feature where the configuration sub-menu can be hidden for users.

We have added a new 'Configuration' access function under the User Group access function configuration to allow the administrator to configure accordingly.

Environment

Release : 4.9

Component : CA Test Data Manager - TDM Web Portal

Resolution

I conferred with the developer and patch TDMWeb-4.9.76.0.zip will resolve all the below issues and enhancement request:

DE462613 - Slowing in the animation when click on made request from tdm portal
DE462616 - Slowing to finish submitted request on tdm portal
US674675 - Question about how disable configuration options to TDM Portal user (enhancement request)

You will be upgrading to TDM 4.9. Just run the TDM 4.9  installers and it will overlay 4.8.1.

Run the installer for TDM Portal first, setup_CA Test Data Manager Portal4.9.0.12.exe, and it will upgrade the Portal, and connect to gtrep and upgrade the repository schema.

After the Portal is installed, then run setup_GTServer_4.9.0.395.exe.

Please contact Broadcom Support for the patches and a TDM template for upgrading.  It is named TDM_Upgrade_Template.docx.

Then you can apply the patches.

The following TDM 4.9 patches have been uploaded to this case (these are the latest patches as of July 30, 2020):

FDM FastDataMasker-4.9.43.0.zip
Datamaker GTDataMakerPB-4.9.14.0.zip
Javelin 32-bit Javelin-2.0.719.0.zip
Javelin 64-bit Javelin-4.8.133.0.zip
TDM Portal TDMWeb-4.9.76.0.zip
GTSubset Subset-4.9.17.0.zip

Javelin 32-bit is what is delivered with TDM 4.9, but eventually is will be deprecated. If you want to use Javelin 64-bit, then uninstall Javelin 32-bit and then run patch. If not, then just run the 32-bit patch.
