Issue/Introduction

This document states how to create a Console (COMM) Dump of the Xmanager address space.

Environment

Release : 20.0

Component : CA Detector for DB2 for z/OS

Resolution

The commands below should be issued to capture a dump of the Xmanager address space, BEFORE recycling Xmanager:

1) /DUMP COMM=(Title of the Dump that's assigned)

     (The Dump Title must be enclosed in parenthesis)

 2)  MVS will then issue a reply prompt: xx

 3)  Reply to the prompt as follows:

     xx,asid=xxxx,sdata==(PSA,SQA,LSQA,RGN,TRT,CSA,SWA,SUM,GRSQ)
     asid=xxxx is the hex asid for the Xmanager job

This should create an SVC dump
