ASM - OPMS - /opt/ space problems and requirements

Issue/Introduction

The OPMS server is experiencing  disk space problem

The /opt/ fs ran out of space

 What's the recommended size for the /opt directory of a OPMS (the version of the probe is 10.4.0.2-rhel_7)?

Resolution

The OPMS installation instructions  https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/app-synthetic-monitor/SaaS/on-premise-monitoring-stations-opms/pre-installation-check-list.html if followed  result in a single large root partition and a swap partitiion. A separate /opt partition is not expected (suggested). As most of the disk space on the OPMS is consumed by assets stored in /opt/asm/var/www/assets then if a separate /opt file system is present it should be made as large as possible - almost as big as the recommended disk space for the whole machine.
