Issue/Introduction

SNMPTD monitor is not seeing SNMP V3 traps coming in. Checking the log for snmptd shows the following:

Aug 23 10:57:15:757 [23288] snmptd: usm: match on user nimsoft
Aug 23 10:57:15:757 [23288] snmptd: usm: no match on engineID (

Environment

Resolution

This indicates that the engineID was not properly entered when adding the SNMPv3 User in the Security Properties section of the probe. Validate the engineID from a packet capture of the trap being sent.
