Viewing Symantec LiveUpdate Administrator help in the Japanese language

Issue/Introduction

LiveUpdate Administrator ships with the help system in English.  When the help system in Japanese is available, a  .zip file is attached to this KB article. 

Environment

LiveUpdate Administrator 2.3.11 and later

Resolution

To change the LiveUpdate Administrator help system from English to Japanese: 

1. Download the zip file.
2. Unzip the contents of the zip file to the following directory:

LUA_Install_Directory\tomcat\webapps\lua\onlinehelp\JA_JP

3. Confirm that the index.html file is in the JA_JP directory.

 

You should now be able to access online help in Japanese from the LiveUpdate Administrator console on the top right menu as well as any context-sensitive help calls. 

 

To revert back to the English help system:

1. Delete the following directory: 

LUA_Install_Directory\tomcat\webapps\lua\onlinehelp\JA_JP

Additional Information

Japanese is the only supported language.
