Workaround

We would not recommend updating the DB using a SQL, because it is not easy to write a correct one in SQL.
For a batch update we can support/recommend the following:
1. Create a transport case of the affected objects and unload them.
2. Using the AE DB Change Utility:
https://docs.automic.com/documentation/webhelp/english/AWA/12.2/DOCU/12.2/AWA%20Guides/help.htm#Utilities/admin_AboutAEDBChange.htm%3FTocPath%3DReference%7CUtilities%7C_____2

A simple rule file would have to be created like (example):
REPLACE R3, *, SAP_LANG, "D", "DE"
for jobs in German and/or
REPLACE R3, *, SAP_LANG, "E", "EN"
for jobs in English

This should replace all SAP valid one-char language codes in two-char language codes.

3.
Afterwards the modified transport file should be uploaded in the system.

Try to run these steps on a smaller set of objects first, starting with (example) 10, to make sure the jobs are working after the process described above.
If the test runs come out OK, you can apply this on bigger
