After performing regular scans with Network Discover/Protect you notice that the C:\ drive on the detection server is at capacity
The Advanced Server Setting: ContentExtraction.TemporaryDirectory, although blank by default in the console, actually goes to C:\Users\<DLPServiceAccountName>\AppData\Local\Temp
In some circumstances if scans are incomplete or interrupted, the temp files here are not cleaned after the scan and can accumulate over time.
Release : 15.x and later
Change the location of the temp files by adding a file path in the ContentExtraction.TemporaryDirectory Advanced Server Settings page and restarting the Detection server service.
Ensure that the path you choose is excluded from any backup or AntiVirus processes you may have running
