Unable to login to Introscope 10.7 via EEM

Issue/Introduction

Unable to login to Introscope 10.7 via EEM and receiving this error:

Environment

Release : 10.7.0

Component : APM Agents

Resolution

In this situation, we tested the ability of using Workstation to login to APM directly bypassing EEM and using Introscope users.  We found that we were successful, so the issue was in EEM.

Checked <EEM Home>/EmbeddedEntitlementsManager/log/ipoz.log and found the following warnings:

[eiam.server.ipoz.sponsor] Exception[-800]: failed to create ldap connection

[eiam.server.ipoz.sponsor] Exception[-800]: bind failed

 

Checked <EEM Home>/EmbeddedEntitlementsManager/config/server/server.xml and found the hostname of the LDAP server.

Engaged customer's LDAP expert and found out that the LDAP hostname was decommissioned recently and moved to another server.  Changed the hostname in server.xml to reflect the new LDAP hostname and restarted EEM.  

Customer was then able to login using EEM.
