Issue/Introduction

After a database refresh, we are not able to see data in the Clarity application. My user has full administration rights

Environment

Release : All Supported Clarity releases

Resolution

Contact the DBA and ask them to review the import log. Ideally they should be doing after each refresh before providing the environment.

Possible issues:

1. During database refresh of Clarity database, an error is thrown in the import log:

ORA-31693: Table data object "NIKU"."PRJ_RESOURCES" failed to load/unload and is being skipped due to error:

ORA-02354: error in exporting/importing data

ORA-39779: type "NIKU"."NK_CURVE" not found or conversion to latest version is not possible

This is not a Clarity issue, probably an Oracle version mismatch. Check out the below Oracle KB:

http://psoug.org/oraerror/ORA-39779.htm

See if this helps the DBA identify the issue.

If there is still an issue, please ask them to raise a case with Oracle Support to investigate further.

2. ORA-00942: table or view does not exist when browsing in Clarity on multiple tables after refresh,  indicates problems with the refresh.

  1. Please ask the DBA to compare the table list from Prod and UAT.
  2. Ask them to ensure the Oracle user permissions are set exactly the same way.
  3. Also ask them to ensure the import log DOES NOT have any error. They MUST review the import.log after each refresh to ensure there is no issues
  4. Have you changed the way you are doing refresh? That could help understand why you are seeing these issues.

This is not a Clarity product issue and ideally an Oracle Support case should be raised if the problems persist.
