Issue/Introduction
Many of the Clarity jobs are stuck in Waiting. Only one job at a time is processing
Why do the jobs go in Waiting? The status of some jobs change from Scheduled to Waiting and back to Schedule. Why?
Environment
Release : All Supported Clarity releases
Resolution
While a job is in Processing status, any job that is incompatible to this will go in Waiting status.
If there is a job that is in 'Processing' past the time when the next 'Waiting' or 'Scheduled' job instance was scheduled to start, that job instance will be rescheduled automatically to the next scheduled interval.
Go to Administration - Reports and Jobs - and check each of the jobs that are Waiting and Processing at this time
Make sure not many jobs are set to Incompatible to each other, creating a bottleneck and jobs will be stuck in Waiting until the Incompatible job completes.
We recommend to use default Incompatible jobs and only add them for a very specific reason.
