API Gateway: ESM Not Connecting to Gateway Cluster

Issue/Introduction

I am trying to connect my ESM web application to my gateway cluster and it is currently not connected.

 

Error: Duplicated node(s) ignored.

Environment

API Gateway: 9.2 

Cause

Since the node was cloned, it had a duplicate node.id. 

Resolution

Manually modify the node.id by doing the following:

1. Go to the /opt/SecureSpan/Gateway/node/default/etc/conf/ directory

2. Make a backup of the node.properties

3. Edit the file and go to the node.id parameter

4. Change the last character at the end of the string (increment the number or letter)

5. Save the file

6.Restart the gateway

 

A new node id should get created in the database for that GW.
