Issue/Introduction

We have an automated process to "relocate" an SSM definition from LPAR-A to LPAR-B, such that the PRIMARY_SYSTEM changes from LPAR-A to LPAR-B.

We can do all of the SSM table updates in Rexx. However, we need to  a 4.11.P.R UNLOAD on the source LPAR, and  a 4.11.P.R "LOAD" on the target LPAR.  We need to know if there is a way to do LOAD/UNLOAD in Rexx.

Resolution

The PTF LU10658 for OPS/MVS 14.0 delivers a sample REXX program that can be used to programmatically load policy data.

The new program is named SSM3LOAD and can be found in the CCLXSAMP library.
