Pdm_configure is stuck running: Update Miscellaneous data upd_usp_servers_load.dat

Issue/Introduction

When trying to add new application server in Advanced Availability set up, pdm_configure is getting stuck at below step:

"95 ## loading D:\......\upd_usp_servers_load.dat with (-u) options." 

In configure.log it stops after below messages:

Environment

CA Service Desk Manager 17.x

Cause

The newly added application server is in a different domain or there is a networking issue interfering with the connection to the backend MDB database.

Resolution

Running pdm_configure by giving database IP address instead of hostname.

You may also need to speak with the network team to examine the firewall for any rules between the CA Service Desk APP server and the backend MDB database server.
