Issue/Introduction

One of our Production Federation Server is down. 

We tried to restart the services and rebooted the server but still getting the same error. 

While restarting we are getting this error:

./sps-ctl startssl (99)Cannot assign requested address: AH00072: make_sock: could not bind to address 13.8.40.35:80 no listening sockets available, shutting down AH00015: Unable to open logs Unable to start SSL enabled CA Access Gateway Proxy; not attempting to start CA Access Gateway Engine Consult stdout or CA Access Gateway Proxy logs for details.

Component : SITEMINDER -WEB AGENT FOR APACHE

Resolution

Each server has four ethernet interfaces.

Production access gateway's httpd is bound to the ip addresses of two of these interfaces

QA access gateway's httpd is bound to the ip addresses of the other two of these interfaces

On problematic server only one interface has an ip address.

You need to make sure that all the interfaces on the non-working server have the correct ip addresses.
