Issue/Introduction

Our consultant attempted to delete a Tenant. However, upon confirmation of deletion the wrong Tenants were removed. Are we able to restore the Tenants?

Resolution

APM Engineering spent multiple days researching on how to restore the customer's tenant. Unfortunately, we found out we won't be able to restore tokens which are an essential part of proper APM functionality. Given this fact, we cannot reactivate the tenant.


We have also checked the described situation when that customer clicked on tenant A to be deactivated, but system deactivated tenant B. We are not able to reproduce this issue. We have installed the same version and tested the tenant deactivation multiple times. We also inspected the backend and frontend code. We believe this was caused by human error rather than defect in application.


There is a confirmation dialog which states the tenant name and warns the user about no option to activate the tenant again. In this dialog, the user has to manually type "deactivate" to confirm the deactivation...





We have a feature in our backlog for tenant reactivation (F93820) which will solve such situations like this in the future (not retrospectively).
