Issue/Introduction

You noticed that while editing a custom Data Class:

Clicking on "Browse URL" button causes an error:

"Please select the item Reference cell you wish to lookup"

You were using Chrome browser.

Steps to duplicate issue:

  1. Create new Editable Data Class and add "URL" type attribute.
  2. Associate this Data Class with a resource (computer for example)
  3. Right-click computer > edit > add real URL to this Data Class (www.google.com) or any random text and click on Browse URL

Environment

ITMS 8.5 RU3, RU4

Cause

Known issue

Resolution

A fix for this has been added to our ITMS 8.6 Release.

Current workaround:

  1. Download the attached "MultiRowDataClassControl.js" file.
  2. Replace "MultiRowDataClassControl.js" in "%NS INSTALL DIR%\CMDB\Web\AssetContractCommon\Include\"

Note: After applying "MultiRowDataClassControl.js", you need to clear browsing data and restart Chrome browser to make new .js working.

  3. Test if "Browse URL" button works fine.  URL should open in a separate browser dialog.
