Common Services . Is it possible to upgrade to r15.0 without an IPL ?

Issue/Introduction

Is an IPL be required to upgrade from  Common Services R14.1  to  R15.0 ?    

Is an IPL required if backing out from R15.0 to R14.1?

Environment

Release : 15.0

Component : CCS390 - COMMON SERVICES FOR Z/OS

Resolution

It is possible to upgrade from 14.1 to 15.0 without an IPL

It is possible to back out from 15.0 to 14.1 without an IPL.

NOTE:    Ensure that your r14.1 environment has all required maintenance applied and is backed up and available in case a backout is necessary
