RC Compare for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

When executing a RC/Compare for Db2 for z/OS (RCC) strategy, a user would like to drop all the objects on the target that are not on the source subsystem.

Resolution

After the objects are mapped, on the RC/M Compare Explode Services screen you will want to change the E option to X.
This will display the RC/M All Type Exclude Options screen. This will provide a list of the object types available for dropping.

PRIMARY OBJECT PAIR:
   SOURCE DATABASE ===> dbname1         TARGET DATABASE ===> dbname2
   SOURCE CREATOR  ===> creator1 >      TARGET CREATOR  ===> creator2
---------------------------------------------------------------------
EXCLUDE DEPENDENT OBJECTS:
   A - exclude all unmatched dependent objects of this type
   S - display a selectable list of unmatched dependent objects

   SOURCE TABLESPACES ===> _            TARGET TABLESPACES ===> s
   SOURCE TABLES      ===> _            TARGET TABLES      ===> _
   SOURCE INDEXES     ===> _            TARGET INDEXES     ===> _
   SOURCE VIEWS       ===> _            TARGET VIEWS       ===> _
   SOURCE SYNONYMS    ===> _            TARGET SYNONYMS    ===> _
   SOURCE ALIASES     ===> _            TARGET ALIASES     ===> _
   SOURCE TRIGGERS    ===> _            TARGET TRIGGERS    ===> _

Place an S by Target Tablespaces it will display a list of available tablespaces to drop on the RC/M Exclude Target Tablespaces screen.
You then have the option to exclude the tablespaces you want dropped by using the X option next to the tablespace name.
