I am installing CA Proxy.
During the installation, two users are created: consul and daproxy:
daproxy:x:1001:1001::/apps/users/daproxy:/bin/bash
consul:x:1002:1002::/apps/users/consul:/bin/bash
However, due to some constraints in the environment, I can only use the username SERVICE_USER... Is this possible?
May I change the ownership of the installation directory as well as the consul tool and processes?
The installer doesn't prompt me to use the admin of the daproxy as it occurs during DA, PC and DC installation.
We have only tested this using root as the installer.
We created the consul user across all hosts (DA, PC, PROXY).
We created daproxy user on the proxy host only for the daproxy service.
Release : 20.2
Component : DA Proxy
This is an untested configuration.
If problems were encountered, Broadcom may ask you to revert to a supported configuration.
On the Fault Tolerant DA the services will run as the install user.
And consul/consul-ext as consul.
