Office 365 connector Basic Authentication deprecated

Issue/Introduction

Microsoft has announced that basic authentication to Office 365 will be blocked in October 2020. 

Broadcom has indicated that Kerberos and other modern authentication are currently not supported.

Resolution

Microsoft in response to the COVID-19 crisis and knowing that priorities have changed for many of their customers have decided to postpone disabling Basic Authentication in Exchange Online for those tenants still actively using it until the second half of 2021.

Broadcom development team is working on implementing the new standard for authentication and it will be released in a later CP for 14.3/14.2 as well as 14.4.
