Clarity Portlet links are not working from excel

Issue/Introduction

Clarity Portlet links are working from clarity but not working when exported from excel.

The # character in the URL is converted by Excel to "%20-%20" which generates an error within clarity "Error 404 - Not Found.

Release : 15.4.1

Component : CA PPM STUDIO

Cause

This is a known problem with Microsoft Office applications as per the following Microsoft Community thread

Resolution

The community thread suggests making a number of Windows registry changes
