SYSVIEW: SECU005E error message with the DASH command

Issue/Introduction

Receiving a SECU005E error message for the usercmd DASH even being a SYSVIEW administrator. 

How to get the authorization to the DASH command? 

Environment

SYSVIEW 15 & 16.0 - z/OS supported releases - 

 

Resolution

Here is a procedure step by step to autorize a userid to run the DASH command under SYSVIEW. 

Please issue these commands from a SYSVIEW session:

Security 

Select the User Groups

Issue the command: 

Where Userid (the Userid that is failing)

Select the Group

Select the Commands Section

Find the RXDISP command

What is the Setting? Allow or Fail?

DASH command executes:
USERCMD DASH
RXDISP DASHBORD

Is the Userid authorized for the RXDISP command?

Check also all of the RXxxxx commands:
RXDISP
RXEXEC
RXINIT
RXOUTPUT
RXQUERY
RXTERM
RXTEST

and check that the userid has an authorized access for these commands.

Then do PF3 several times to save these changes for this userid and go out of SYSVIEW.
