SMP/E APPLY of CA MAT PTF SO13756 gets GIM54502E ** ALLOCATION FAILED FOR CEETXML ....error

Issue/Introduction

Trying to install maintenance for CA MAT 12.0,  the following SMP/E errors occur:

GIM54502E ** ALLOCATION FAILED FOR CEETXML BECAUSE THERE IS NO DD STATEMENT IN THE JCL AND NO DDDEF ENTRY IN TARGET ZONE CAIT0.   
GIM28307E ** ALLOCATION FAILED FOR CEETXML, WHICH IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO PROCESS ELEMENT APCWRKFL IN SYSMOD SO13756.

Resolution

Before applying  PTF SO13756, PTF SO13236 needs to be applied and the required HOLD actions need to be executed:

 

                     * STEPS    TO    PERFORM *                        
                     **************************                        
                                                                       
 1.  Edit and customize APCSMPE1 in CEETSAMP.                          
     a.  Update jobcard.                                               
     b.  Update SMPDS variable to be the high level qualifier of the SMP/E data sets.                                              
     c.  Update the CSI variable to the SMP/E CSI data set.            
     d.  Update the VOL variable to the volume serial where the newly allocated data sets should be placed.
     e.  Update the "SET BDY" for the appropriate target zone and distribution zone. The defaults for these zones are CAIT0 and CAID0 respectively.  

                                      
  2.  Submit the JCL for execution.  Expected return code is zero.
