Issue/Introduction

 

We opened a browser and we're trying to access the OneView monitor. We
can't get it and the browser reports :

myhost:/opt/CA/siteminder/ $ curl -vi http://localhost:44450/sitemindermonitor

  * Empty reply from server
  * Connection #0 to host localhost left intact
  curl: (52) Empty reply from server

How can we fix this ? How can we access to the siteminder monitor
application ?

 

Environment

 

Policy Server 12.8SP3 on RedHat 7;

 

Cause

 

At first glance, in order to access OneView monitor, you should
install it and run its service.

Port 44450 is Policy Server port and not a Web Server port.

 

Resolution

 

- Follow the instruction from documentation to install and start
  OneView monitor correctly. We strongly suggest you to test it first
  in Test and lower environment instead of going directly on
  Production.
