Issue/Introduction

We are considering upgrade for policy server to 12.8.03 and policy store to 14.1

Current infra is on

Policy Server R12.52 SP1

Policy store - CA Directory R12.0.13

Have some questions

Can a R12.8.03 policy server communicate with R12.0.13? The support matrix says it CA Directory Server 12.x, 14.0, 14.1 are supported.

Just want to cross check for R12.0 CA dir.

Can we run two versions of CA directory on the same host?

Like for e.g.  R12.0.13 and R14.1 running policy stores on the same host, would it have any impact atlease for non-prod environments.

Environment

Release : 12.8.03

Component : SITEMINDER -WEB AGENT FOR APACHE

You cannot on windows.

On linux you can, but you would need to use the interactive or silent install for at least one of the installs. Or, in other words, you would only be able to use native package installation (rpm, deb etc) for one of the instances. You would of course need to install each instance to it's own directory tree and use different network ports etc.
