Issue/Introduction

Due to corporate changes we have need to set a new Access subsystem with a subset of the existing users, and only those users, is it possible to use either a NCL procedure or utility like IDCAMS to achieve this?

I realise we can use a copy of the existing UAMS and ACDB files, but as below a similar solution is required to remove the extra users.

Ideally we would like to be able to also delete the users from the source system via a similar means, but the aim currently to is  get the new Access subsystem up based upon the old.

Environment

Release : 5.0

Component : CA SOLVE:Access Session Management

Resolution

Best to copy the ACDB in its entirety and then use /MSDM.G (Global Session Maintenance). It can do mass deletes based on generic criteria. This is easier than coding $MASD00F calls.

For UAMS the /UAMS.L function can list generic userids. But entries must be deleted manually. IDCAMS Repro with a suitable key range is also possible as the key is the userid.
