Issue/Introduction

Refresh Data Warehouse OData Model job fails with error in logs "OData Warehouse OData Model refresh failed: There was a problem creating the model.ORA-12505 Connection refused, the specified SID XXXXX was not recognized by the Oracle server"

 

Environment

Release : Clarity SAAS PPM 15.8.1 and supported releases.

Component : CA PPM SAAS APPLICATION

Cause

The configuration issue was related to a an incorrect SID used while configuring the HDP service for the PPM SAAS environment. 

Resolution

If the error is persistent please open a case with Broadcom support. The ideal solution would be to de-register and register PPM with HDP (Odata service).
