Issue/Introduction

Is it possible  to use IBM WebSphere Action Pack to update the contextroot of the WAR Application ?

using the IBM WebSphere Action Pack to update the contextroot of the WAR Application but during execution  getting the below issue:

   pck_websphere_update_appln_adv.py; exception information com.ibm.websphere.management.application.client.AppDeploymentException:       
   com.ibm.websphere.management.application.client.AppDeploymentException:
   ADMA0084E: The archive /tmp/app171b75f372d.ear to wrap is not a module of type JAR or WAR.

Release : ARA 12.3.0

Component : ACTIONS

Resolution

Old version of Websphere action pack doesn't support the functionality to update the context-root for the specified WAR application.

This can be achieved by using Package.IBM.WebSphere 1.8.0  published on 2020-06-19 and is available for download using the Package Manager.
