Unable to logon on TDM portal - Product activation error

CA Test Data Manager (Data Finder / Grid Tools)

Issue/Introduction

We are unable to logon to CA TDM portal. We are getting a product activation error. When we go to the Telemetry Activation page and enter our PLA information, the activation fails, but we don't know why.  This was previously working, and nothing has changed on our part, which is odd that the activation would start failing all of a sudden.

Resolution

It appears the issue was either corrupted cache, or something odd happening with the CA Test Data Manager Portal service.

We stopped the CA Test Data Manager Portal Service, and open the c:\Program Files\CA\CA Test Data Manager Portal\conf\logback-tdm,.xml, and uncomment line 60, in order to place Portal in debug mode.

We then cleared out the %ProgramData%\CA\CA Test Data Manager\logs directory, so we have a fresh set of logs to review.

After restarting the CA Test Data Manager Portal service, the issue wasn't seen. So refreshing the service, or the cache seems to have resolved the issue.
