Changing the default allocation / booking status from "soft" to "hard"

Issue/Introduction

• Is there any way to change the default allocation of a resource to a project from "soft" to "hard"?
• In other words, when a project manager assigns a resource to their project can the initial state of the allocation be "hard" instead of "soft"?

Resolution

The below two requirements are needed for a resource to be able to hard book a user by default:

1. Set the Default value for Booking Status to Hard on Team object:

• Navigate to Administration -> Objects->Team
• Click on the Attributes tab
• Click on the Booking Status attribute
• Set the Default to "Hard" and Save

2. User also needs to have Resource - Hard Book Access to the resource they are adding to the team. 

• If they have soft booking access to the resource, and not hard, then the resource will be added as "Soft" booked
