Issue/Introduction

Starting CAS9 and the following error message is produced : 

CAS9125E - INVALID DATA: * RIMPARM ERROR: SYNTAX ERROR * - PRODUCT(CAIRIM) VER                                                                  

The CARIMPRM member has the following:

PRODUCT(CAIRIM) VERSION(CAS9) INIT(CAS9INIT) -

Component : CCS390 - CA COMMON SERVICES FOR Z/OS

Resolution

The dash "-" at the end of the PRODUCT statement in CARIMPRM caused the problem.

 Unless the control statement is being continued, the dash is not required. Just end the statement with (CAS9INIT).
